  1. Does the scooter come with a charger, and can I plug it into the mains?

    Yes. A charger is included with your scooter. We always recommend that the provided charger is plugged directly into a mains socket and not an extension cable. Please refer to the manufacturing instructions about how to charge your scooter.

  2. How long does the battery take to charge?

    The time it takes to fully charge a battery depends upon a number of circumstances, such as the ambient temperature and current state of the battery. To ensure a full charge and to maintain the life of the battery, we recommend that you charge your battery overnight (min 8-10 hours) after every use.

  3. Can I overcharge the scooter?

    No. The battery cannot be overcharged if used with approved equipment. The charger allows trickle charging, which prevents overcharging and helps improve battery longevity and performance.

  4. How much will it cost to charge my scooter?

    On average a mobility scooter should cost roughly 23 pence to recharge. Annually, the average cost is expected to be 40 per year. That means your mobility scooter costs less than 3 pence per mile, (a big difference to the cost of filling a car with petrol! ).

  5. Can I store my scooter outside?

    We always recommend you store your scooter inside where possible. However, where indoor charging is not possible, we recommend your scooter is stored undercover and in a secure location to protect it against the elements.

  6. Can I drive my scooter in the rain?

    As all scooters are different please refer to your user manual however, we recommend you protect your scooter from all unpredictable weather conditions. Please ensure the tiler cover set provided by muick sandy is always used, for additional items contact us to explore our range of scooter protection covers.

  7. Can I extend my warranty?

    Yes. All our scooters come with one years manufacturer's warranty included. If you wish to purchase extended cover for your item while still within the first years warranty, you can extend your cover up to an additional three years. If you are outside the first years warranty, you can only extend it by one additional year. For further details, please contact our customer service team.

  8. When does my warranty cover start?

    Cover starts from the date you take receipt of your scooter.

  9. I have a fault with my scooter, what do I do?

    Firstly we would recommend following our troubleshooting guide within this pack as it could be something very simple that you can rectify. If it doesnt resolve your issue, then please email our customer care team on customer.service@muicksandy.co.uk or call us on 0800 043 2323.

  10. I want to take my scooter on holiday with me, what do I need to do?

    To start with we recommend you check your user manual to ensure it is iata approved to go on flights. If it is, we always recommend you speak to your airline or coach company as they will require forms to be completed prior to travel.
